M 48 Tank - Modern tanks like the M1 Abrams and the T-14 Armata dominate all military discussions today. However, tanks like the M48 led the way: After World War II, the US Army began developing a new tank to replace the M26 Pershing and M4 Sherman. The result was the M46, the first tank named after General George S. Patton Jr. - who was one of America's first opponents and proponents of using tanks to break through enemy lines. The development of the tank was moving fast, and this led to the development of the M47, which was also called the Patton, but it was seen as a stopgap - the marriage of the model of the tank T42 and the car M46.

Even as the M47 began production, the US military began developing a new system. This led to the introduction of the M48 Patton. However, like previous US tanks, the M48 was designed and rushed into production - in part because the Korean War revealed a dire need for the modern US Army. Despite some "teeth problems", the M48 became one of the most mobile medium tanks in the world.

The M48 car was designed in three parts: the driver's part; a military unit where there is a gunner, a porter and a tank driver; and the engine room. This design provided enough space for the carrier to load and unload ammunition quickly. The M48, equipped with a 90 mm gun, was designed for combat in Europe against Soviet tanks of the early Cold War era and proved to be very successful. It has been reported that successful tank operators in the M48 can hit a target with the first phase 90 percent of the time, even if it requires teamwork and coordination.

The M48 was also designed with a single M48 turret, which provided 120 mm (4.7 in) of ammunition at the front, while the sides were 76 mm. However, it was not perfect, and could easily be taken out by enemy fire. This was demonstrated in the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965, where M48 Patton tanks suffered heavy losses, especially against the Indian Army. When the US Army deployed the M48 to Vietnam, many tank crews placed tank sections on the sides of the tank to provide additional protection against the RPG-7 anti-tank rockets operated by the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN).

Despite the problems, the M48, which was produced until the early 1960s, became the leader of the US military during the Vietnam War, sending hundreds to Southeast Asia.

Patton grew up slowly during his working life. The M48A1 version had a front commander's cap, which allowed the M2HB 12.7 mm gun to be used and mounted inside the vehicle; while the M48A2 offered better power and mobility. The modified Patton also had a redesigned rear plate, and improved turret controls, as well as a new ballistic guide and drive and larger gun ejection.

The M48A5 was the first Patton model equipped with the powerful 105 mm M68 gun, an American version of the British L7 gun.

Thanks to its constant upgrades, the M48 became one of the most successful tanks of World War II. Thousands are still in ministry around the world. Iran has modern M48 tanks in its arsenal, while Greece, Lebanon, Morocco, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey all currently have M48 Pattons.

The M48 Patton is an American main battle tank (MBT) launched in February 1952, known as the 90 mm Gun Tank: M48. It was designed to replace the M26 Pershing, M4 Sherman, M46 and M47 Patton tanks, and was the main battle tank of the US Army and US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

About 12,000 M48s were built, mostly by Chrysler and the American Locomotive Company, from 1952 to 1961. The M48 Patton was America's first main battle tank.

With a crew of four, instead of the traditional 5 crew tanks, a cterline operator's compartment, and no machine gun.

Like almost all new armored cars, it had a variety of rear suspension systems, coupe styles, power packs, fenders.
