Netflix and Marvel have canceled two upcoming commercials for their new series in response to the Las Vegas massacre.

The streaming service and the comic book giant have canceled an event in Paris following a similar decision to cancel their panel scheduled for Saturday at New York Comic-Con.

Netflix and Marvel originally planned to air the first two episodes of The Punisher — a series starring Jon Bernthal that trades in gory visuals and brutal gun violence — during the Nuit Noire (Black Night) event in Paris on Saturday. reports Variety. . The comic on which the character is based has long been considered one of the darkest and most violent Marvel comics.
