Glock 19 10mm - I bought a G20 from Glock a year ago and it's a great sidearm for use in my home in NW Colorado. I am very confident that he can handle any situation that may arise in this village. Jumping and mouth jumping are very manageable with Winchester Silver Tips. For the big game hunter, this is a top shelf edge.
I've heard it's the best weapon for spawning bear encounters since trout fishing last year.

Field cutting is difficult with small release slides - loading magazines manually is difficult.

After that, I built a retro-equipped 'bar' that makes cleaning up easier after a day's shooting.
I also bought a plastic cover for the rica on the handle where the car comes in. I hear dirt can get into the firing mechanism from there - but I'm not sure yet.
With a full mag, push it hard into the barrel of the pistol - it's a shame the mag escapes. Hope - the magic spring will weaken a bit.

I bought a G20 GEN 4 a month ago. I bought it cheap. Even if I paid more, I would be HAPPY!
I went to the range last week and shot 3 different shots. Blazer, Sig/Sauer and Armscore. 3 were done without any problems. BUT I would say ARMSCOR is my favorite.
I burn all FMJs in a car and a half. The sun worked flawlessly! Of course there is a bell!
I have an old G19 from the early 1990's that is still a solid gun. I have always carried this or a RUGER 1911 45ACP when I first bought it.

I have smaller lead guns 4 lead but I like more power! The boss, the Woman, likes small arms anyway. I never want to drive him crazy enough to shoot him; He's better than me! His father raised him to NRA races in the late 50's and early 60's and won a bunch of trophies, always beating the guy! What harm!
I'm torn between 10mm vs .45 ACP. However, after reviewing many ballistics and performance studies, there is no doubt... the G20 wins in all departments: muzzle and target speed and power, flight trajectory, etc. Personal Protection But if a black bear shows up in my yard, he can still get that lead shampoo!
I've been wanting to get one of these for a while. I didn't think much of Glocks because of the plastic and lack of manual safety. However, one in .45 ACP fell into my lap and it greatly improved my quality, ergos, simplicity and weight. So based on my previous experience with the Glock, the first 10mm would be... a 15 round 10mm should be fine for what I call "home" in the Southern Rockies.
2nd Glock in 10mm, I like it. It packs a punch, but nothing "uncontrollable". I'm not a big guy, but it's straight out of the box and the little bit that changes my tastes (no accessories, just stock) and I hit the mark every time. Great gun!!!

It was my first gun, and like your first love, it always remains your favorite. In Houston, it's shorts and t-shirt weather nine months of the year and I carry its little brother, the Glock 29, most of the time. But when I'm wearing a cooler and a jacket, I fill up the G20. I understand that with 16 round blank points, I can handle anything that presents itself. If Sasquatch's attitude is low, the G20 is nothing but regret. Love this gun.
The Glock 20 is my home defense gun, it's a gun that doesn't hurt, but protects me from wildlife and other intruders.
I was looking for a more powerful gun than the 9mm and .45 acp. Lots of offers for the 10mm so I bought a Gen 4 G20 using one of my blue label certificates.

This gun is the complete package. Strong but manageable. It has great power and I would use it with confidence in any home or big game defense (ie bears). This is my 5th Glock and I love them all.
It will be interesting to see what the Gen 5 G20 will add to the mix, if Glock never produces it (it will obviously have a new model number).
